Drillcut (UK) Limited complete motorway road sawing Project in record time in completing 10,000m of concrete cutting motorway surface.

The Project consisted of a new safety barrier installation programme along the live motorway carriage way M5 J22 – 27 Somerset, England.

The motorway remained live throughout the project with 50mph speed restrictions put in place as the carriage way was updated during normal day time working hours. The project consisted of asphalt and concrete road surface saw cut to the required depth of 410mm deep. Drillcut (UK) Limited Mobilised 4nr. Diesel self propelled road saws along with very experienced operatives to tandem saw the full length of the project in one pass. This ensured that the project was kept on a strict programme of events for the barrier installation team to follow along behind.

The project programme consisted of 14 days completion on the saw cutting. Drillcut (UK) Limited complete the project in 7 working days carrying out 357m each saw per day to the full required depth of 410mm deep.

Drillcut (UK) Ltd have had the BHB 305 pecker attachment designed with a dust suppression hammer which will automatically dampen any dust when the pecker is in action.
